Staff abusing powers and disrespecting Pri/Vodka

Let me start by saying, yes i know MineCat's PVP hard but we play by your rules.

I logged in this evening to find that everything I have done on your server had been rolled back. Ricksterm tried to reroll it for me (thanks Rick) but this was only 70% successful.

I suspected that wtfluftwaffle was responsible for this as he placed blocks in my home block, building a massive flag on top of my town. I asked him if he rolled me back but he denied it.

A short time later he admitted to rolling it back because i had made a 4x4x10 hole under neath my town spawn to kill uninvited guests. Due to that reason he claims that he decided to rollback every block that I have ever placed on your server. He showed no remorse saying that it serves me right for MineCat's pvping reputation. I admit that I was quite angry at the time due to his inconsiderate attitude and "I don't give a shit" attitude. And also fire apple saw fit to involve himself in the discussion which didn't help matters. During the discussion I decided to end the conversation (as it wasn't going anywhere) by saying "I'm taking this to to Vodka" and Xeloras piped up saying words to the effect of "Yeah good luck Vodka hasn't been on in months!". Again this shows a poor attitude by another staff member disrespecting the server owner calling his activity in to question.

The decision to roll me back, due to digging a 4 x 4 x 10 hole in my own claimed land was, in my view a display of incredibly bad judgement. This wiped out my entire town that had been a collaborative effort of 6 or 7 people. The lack of apology was an insult and then being told words to the effect of "serve's your town right" is a major dick move. I was not able to resolve this matter with wtfluftwaffle as he left the server mid discussion.

Prior to my town getting rerolled on your new map I did not PVP any of your members and decided that we should focus on building. The combination of loosing my build, and being told that 6 other towns are preparing to wage war against us (this sounds like fun imo), has sparked me in to PVP mode again and I believe that I have now killed 3 may be 4 non MineCats since the new map.

disrepecting pri? nice try pal, but i was there. all that happened was you cursing out the staff over a fricking hole in the ground. the staff that were there didnt "show disrepect" to anyone, adn in fact tried to help you; despite your seemingly blind rage. the staff of the renegades are amazing, and what youve accused them of is utter garbage.

He CLEARLY doesnt know how to handle the situations like that. Also for waffle temporary removal of Staff?

Okay first of all that 4 x 4 x 10 hole in a ground was a unavoidable trap that you made right below the town spawn. Not only that but it looked like it was made to steal items and or xp.

Second of all I do not really agree with waffle on his statement of: "Serves you right" even though I'm his friend.

Third, I very much agree with crazys comment.

And last don't get mad at me because I felt someone involved in a argument that last time I checked I actually WAS involved in.

I will not attempt to dispute SP's claim about rolling back his hole and inadvertently his town, but I will say this. I did intend only to rollback his town's trap, but I failed to include the "area" parameter to restrict the rollback to only that hole, and I apologize now after my ISP failed me all day. I will, however, defend that I was acting in response to the players' description of MineCats being an irrational group in terms of PvPing and behavior and having a negative reputation (which was unanimous, by the way).

As an aside, the topic of MineCats and its behavior didn't not exist until now. It has been a topic of discussion in the forums before, but it is only till now has someone done something about it.

This led me to feel that the setting of a town spawn which leads to an unpreventable death and as a result, frustration of a player was against the general code of conduct of this server, which is to foster a positive community among its players. Your group, on the other hand, has visibly brought up feelings of frustration and contempt against you from the community, and my action of rolling back the hole was fueled by my duty towards my community, who have claimed to have been affected by your group.

After all, I too, lost about 50 levels of XP as a result of porting to your town. That very action of depriving anyone of their XP is in effect an unprovoked attack against them.

tl;dr I rest my case as that I failed to use Rollback properly with "area" and as a result ruining your build, and I offer any compensation (rickies, blocks, items, etc.) you may request for my actions. However, my action of rolling back the hole in general is justified above. Lastly, your questioning of our leadership skills is a slander against Pri himself, as he picked us personally to be part of his staff and therefore you are questioning his judgement. In defense of myself, I am only human, and therefore I make errors too.

As for the flag, it was a joke. Your territory is public, and therefore it is up to you to deal with yourself.

If you can't use the logblock properly, don't use it.

Do not roll back things inside peoples towns. They can build anything they want inside their town including a death pit. We provide the sandbox we set a few rules and the players do the rest. That is the whole idea of our servers. If they want to create a death pit inside their own town that is their right.

I have removed wtfluftwaffle from staff both on the forums and on the Minecraft servers.

I am not happy about some of the language that was used during your altercations. If you are not happy with a staffs decision you need to follow the procedure. Sitting there and arguing with staff is against our rules and you all agreed to those rules when you first logged in to the survival server.

Do it on the forums in a Private Message if a staff member of the level you need isn't available. Do not just stand there arguing in-game or that will get you banned and no mater how valid your problem is it will be usurped by your bad attitude.

I do not want to have to deal with this again, play nice. And staff (Xeloras especially) act like the position I've afforded you. You are to lead by example don't jump in to the swamp and splash about.

I just want to say guys, even though I haven't been active on the mc server much for the last couple of weeks I check this forum nearly daily. If you have any problems with what other members of staff have done/said to you or you feel as thought you are being made the target of abuse or other unjust actions, don't hesitate to send a PM my way.

If you have an issue and there is a member of staff online to help deal with it then sure, go ahead and try to get it sorted out but if it escalates to something of this caliber then it would be much more effective to PM someone on the forums.

As a member of the staff here it is my job to help people out and sort out this stuff. Don't worry about sending me loads of PMs, I want to be sent loads of PMs. That way we can sort out issues quickly, fairly, and without dragging people who have nothing to do with it in to the mix.

I can understand a friendly PVP war, that is what i was expecting this to be, but no. You had to go and pull something involving power abuse. Not only have you put out a bad rep for the servers staff, you disregard something as simple as "Leave then alone, we can do this without cheating."

I remember from day 1, before i decided to join in, i told you guys specifically not to do something like this. I am deeply disappointed and i hope the rest of our servers staff can learn from something like this.
