Hello fellow renegaders! This is RedFrame.

I have been noticing a few things about our server, and now i think i know why many users who come to this server don't come back.

First of all, Merry Christmas to all and good day to all non-christians.

Now for the problem.
I have noticed several times someone who logs on to the server that i have never seen before. Every time that happens, i say "hoi!" to them. Mostly it appears to be ONLY me. There you have it. We, as a community, need to be more friendly, not just to new users, but all people. Not greeting new users makes them feel unimportant and they decide to never come back. It's almost like a ghost town, where you aren't seen by others. The only way we seem to notice others is by their creations. That's not a good way to be a good server. I have also noticed some more mature members speaking more...mature language around potentially young players. I had just turned 13 yesterday. Everybody should lessen with the inappropriate language around potentially younger players.
Besides that, i am glad that there aren't any really inappropriate creations on the server. I think we are really a great community, and we can become even better and soon be on the top of almost every minecrafter's server list!

You're right. I will think about ways to better the servers atmosphere.

I do try to make sure that if I see a new member they know what they are doing, who to ask questions of etc but I do agree more could go to the effort, much like yourself. The only other person I have seen doing anything like this is Db696.

You speak, build and act like somebody twice my age. I feel bad now although I do try to make sure conversations are more suitable for a general audience when I know there are younger members. I will try harder though.

I think one thing we need to do is crack down harder on inappropriate language and swearing , as even though we have a wide spread of ages on this server, it needs to be appropriate for all.
Also I think the whitelist thread so be on the forums main page, its current location could be confusing for new members, just a thought

To help better the server I have now extended the censor word list to more common swears. Hopefully this will help making the tone of the server more mature.
