These are very off-the-wall ideas:

1. "Warzone" - when activated, temporarily turns a previously neutral town-zone in to a PVP zone for x seconds/minutes (blocks are not breakable, other aspects of towny still apply). 5 uses [Ultra Rare]

2. "Into The Mouth of Hell" - teleports you to the nether - 1 hour cool down [Uncommon]

3. "No Fly Zone" - Engages an aura around the user 40 blocks out where no flying is allowed. No affect inside towns [Rare]

4. "Army of Darkness" - spawns 3 random mobs once every 20 seconds for 5 minutes [Ultra Rare]

5. "Hookshot" - throws a chain 30 blocks out. If another player is in the line of the chain, it grabs them, does 2 hearts of damage, and drags them in to you. Does nothing in a non-PVP zone. [Ultra Rare]

6. "You May Fire When Ready..." - When activated, temporarily turns Beacons green and provides negative buffs instead of positive - for 2 minutes [Ultra Rare]

7. "Ahhh... That's the Stuff!" - 1 use per day. Temporarily increases efficiency of all mining tools to maximum. Simultaneously drains 1/2 heart every 30 seconds. [Rare]

8. "Arcanite Reaper... Hoooo!" - Consumable card. When used, adds 2 attack damage and the Sharpness IV buff on an Axe [Ultra Rare]

9. "All Your Base..." - 5 uses. Lets you claim a plot of land for free [Uncommon]

10. "Dragonglass" - 1 time use. Grants the user 1 stack of obsidian [Ultra Rare]

11. "World Builder" - 20 uses. When the card is activated, when the player right clicks a 10x10 chunk of whichever block is in the players hand will appear [Rare]

12. "Suit Up!" - Gives the player a set of Diamond Armor. 1 time use [Ultra Rare]

I think some of them could work, but 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 11 wouldn't.
11 would just be abused.
For example: Diamond block, lava, water, etc.

Good point, maybe the 10x10 block one is limited to stone, wood, etc.

I do think a little more pvp would help spice things up...

A great way to make the system more fun is to create synergy/combos... So the cards compliment each other and it's up to the creativity of the player how to best utilize them...

Good Ideas there, after being refined.

1. "Machine Gun" give you a bow with punch 5, power 5. BUT this bow only has 10 uses, this card can be used once every two weeks (Ultra Rare)

2. "Diamond Bow" with some coding magic, Adrian could take the item in your hand (diamond sword) make it a certain name that you type in chat, example: "/cards name Slaya" then the sword in your hand is named Slaya. If you right click this sword arrows will come out and be taken from your inventory. If this really is implemented the velocity of the arrow will have to be 3. This card would also be a ONE OFF. And could only be found ONCE.

3. "Fishing players" gives you a fishing rod which can pull players toward you, only has 10 uses (lets say), can be used once every 3 days.

4. "Treasure Detector" gives you an item named "Treasure detector" and when you right click an ore it will give you the block in ore form in your inventory or any item you want (can be manipulated by code) this card is also a ONE OFF and can only be found ONCE.

5. "Diamond shield" after activating this card ONCE and you can only find this card ONCE, your diamond sword when right clicked would give you a resistance effect that would make you immune to arrows and such.

While these are not really cards, they add little things in the game that really spice the server up and give it more uniqueness

1. Over the border card. gives you 32 fences a day
2. Bunny card. Gives 2x speed boost when running for 1 hr
3. NBA card. Gives 2x jump boost for 1hr
4. kennesu card. gives you a norwegian accent.
5. amercian card. Gives 10 cakes
