Question with the rules

So I was reading the rules thread and I got down to this

No Stealing (Anarchy is exempt for obvious reasons)

This includes taking Blocks, Picture Frames, Torches, Contents of Chests* & Furnaces, Animals, Horses, Mobs, Mob Spawners, Tools, even crops. Any object that you could consider "yours" is an object you are not allowed to steal from someone else.

Now normaly I would have no issue with this but I have questions about a few things.

1. Stealing someones horses - Now technically if you could get to someones horses, legitly, wouldn't you be allowed to steal them or is that not considered raiding?

2. Animals - If we can't steal them are we allowed to kill them, even if we are able to get to them without having to break down a wall, tunneling, ect.?

3. Crops- Why aren't we allowed to break crops? Most servers consider that raiding not griefing? Or is there a special reason why you can't take someones farm?

The only anti-social activity we allow is stealing from unlocked chests. Taking anything else is not allowed including crops and friendly mobs.

We've been operating for three years, back when we started no one even coined the phrase raiding for a Minecraft server because there was no Factions or Towny plugins. We've been around since before Bukkit even existed. So to us we consider that "raiding" behavier as Griefing as that is how it has always been described until the rise of Factions.

Please do not Blame me for what someone else has stole but i do have a couple spare horses wanna buy them?
