Re: Rambo_Nol's EC build - The Rambo Games
The thing is I see this as a very early stage of development. I would advice to highly define what you are trying to build because it looks like random structures "pasted" together to make an application.
General tips:
1)Define what you want to make in these structures (general theme like Elf city, Modern city, Abandoned Structures, small village, etc).
2) Concentrate on either size or detail. A lot can be said on the size vs details of structures because while you may make a BIG build, it might be empty and that takes away from the beauty of it. What you could do is make it big but somewhat inaccesible to the players from the outside and then make a smaller but highly detailed one. OR go the extra mile and make it REALLY big and REALLY detailed. It is entirely up to you.
3) Consider how you link your structures. This also falls under the first 2 clauses. Keep in mind that once you have a theme defined it will make it easier because for example if you have a small village with highly detailed houses then the path to each house might be a cobble stone path rather than Polished stone (to say an example).
4) Details, details, details. From a point on it's a matter of how well you want your structures to look either on the outside, inside or both. The details that you apply to your structures will ensure the durability of it in general. When you build think on how you would like it to look, how it is being presented to the players and if it's portraying that "WOW" feeling that you have inside when building it.
5) Have fun. Above all have fun when making your builds. Don't take too much stress from it and remember this is a game. It's ok to take pauses and rethink some structures. There are players here that have changed their original plans like 3 times (Stephanie, to say a name) or people who have sticked to one particular project and have added to it throughout months of building (myself as an example).
So have fun and be sure to be detailed on what you do. If you accomplish this, your project will speak on it's own.
I hope this helps
Cheers!

Re: Rambo_Nol's EC build - The Rambo Games
How does having three different themes on each different part of the map to show three different factions sound, and the center ground is like a war field of nature and other structures? I could add an abandoned and destroyed look to the structures near the center battleground and other villages and capital buildings for the main faction structures. How does that sound as a general new idea?

By factions I mean factions of nature, such as Stanley the Tree, Fanny the FLower, and Albert the Cactus XD But seriously.
