As you know there are so many Summer activities we all enjoy doing. Some go swimming, others play sports. Myself I prefer to draw or work on some kinda Art. Since there has been some downtime lately on the server and some of us have some spare time on our hands. So with that in mind, I am inviting you all to join me in my favorite Summer past time. Starting today and running for one week I will open a Art Contest Via forums.

The type of art is up to you! I know everyone has their own taste and style either be it pencil renderings, Digital Art, Sculptures , , Anime anything goes!

To Enter just submit your piece of work (Please make sure it is your own personal work) and a short description or what the piece is.

Creativity is everything to me, so I want you to be expressive and have fun with it!


So lets breakdown to the rules and prizes:



Rules:
1. Nothing Obscene.
2. Work has to be Original.
3. Project has to have a Name and Description.
4. There is no entry limit
5. Any type of Media is allowed: Drawings, Paintings, Clay, Jewelry, really the choice of Art is up to you, everything but poetry, writing or musical lyrics.

Prizes:
1. 1st Prize is the new Summer Sword from the Summer Event
2. 2nd Prize is 5,000 Rennies and 20 Sunflower Heads
3. 3rd Prize is 4,000 Rennies and 15 Sunflower Heads

Description: This is a digital painting of a still from the film 'Django: Unchained'. It took roughly 7-8 hours to complete it and I managed to condense that into 2 minutes and 30 seconds of footage for a speed art video

At my home here in the wild state of Kentucky i have a forest behind my home. Being spurred on by this contest, i went into the forest with the goal of getting a picture of some rather beautiful spots, but with it being hot and muggy i'm afraid i couldn't get too many.

i painted some flowers my mom planted a week ago. i dont know what kind they are, but i thought they were good enough. my mom then taught me how to blend colors to make the petals, and once i got it down, i started on my own. this took me roughly 7-9 hours. the picture may be a bit grainy. ( i added some extra stuff like the green leaves in the background to fill in space. it wasnt with the actual flowers )

this is on a 4ft by 3ft canvas i think

Just wow I am actually taken back by these I knew we had talented builders on this server but you guys art work is amazing! I an have taken years of Art classes and Schooling! Amazing, Just amazing Hope to see more!

Also I really like the contest opening graphic the "Summer Contest" infront of the summery things.

This was a lion I drew about half a week ago. It took me 2-3 hours to do!

Just a quick reminder today is the last day to submit any artwork before the contests ends. Today is the 19th of July anything submitted dated on the 20th will not be accepted and thanks for all who entered, Such amazing talent from our community.
