I've been working on my moon base's landscape but I hit a problem. with the unevenness of the terrain, making craters has made it more harder to simply digging a ball shaped hole on a flat surface.
I tried a few ways like making elongated epsilloids of air to melting the area with a tiny deep hole for a couple of months.
If you have a few (or many!) suggestions to create these seemingly simple task, try contacting me in-game or leave a reply in this topic.
Until then, Cherrio and happy minecrafting!

Have you tried digging down about the radius of the crater minus about 3 to 4 blocks, making a ellipsoid with a radius slightly longer, then carving it with a sphere/ellipsoid of air with the intended radius?
