Suggestion: Custom Recipe for New Creative Blocks in 1.13

So in 1.13, all-over bark blocks and fully smooth seamless sandstone are being added to the creative block menu. In light of this, I was wondering if there would be a way to add them to survival, perhaps using custom crafting recipes?

For example, maybe four oak logs in a square turns into two full-bark logs. ("Lossy" crafting might prevent overuse of these blocks.) Something different would have to be used for sandstone, because that creates 4 regular smooth sandstone. Also, I'm not sure how the new "stripped log" blocks are going to be crafted, so that recipe may have to change, but you get the point.

What do you think of this suggestion? (Which is totally unrelated to my current giant tree project...)

Edit: Bio has informed me that there will be a crafting recipe for bark blocks! 4:3 ratio rather than 4:2, so that's nice. My interest in the sandstone blocks still stands, though.

If we're able to create them within our crafting system then we will make available some kind of crafting recipe sure.

I think that would be a great idea, i build with sandstone a lot so an extra variant would be cool.

Forgot to tell you, if I did then I'm a broken record.

Right click the logs with an axe when they are placed.
