1.8 Bedrock Fog Problems

Fri Sep 23, 2011 2:49 pm

I was recently on the 1.8 server, i went to auruheim (idk if i spelt it right) and i couldnt see 3 feet infront of me, basically it ruined the underground cities and such, very saddening. Take the rollercoaster bubblebust, dumskalle, Shammydude, and I were working on, its basically ruined now. I cant see a darn thing XD. I personally think notch should make creative gamemode exempt from the fog thing. If you dont know what im talking about, go to bedrock.

I know, it's horrible. I hope someone makes a plugin to prevent this from happening...

Sucks indeed. Unfortunately I believe the client completely handles the lighting at different depths and due to that I don't think a server side plugin would fix this. I think it would need to be a client side modification.

I'm hopeful that Notch will either reverse his decision on this or add an option to turn this off.

Well, there is a client-side mod for it.

Pretty much what I expected. Feel free to install that guys as I don't consider it a cheating mod at all even on our SMP server. This darkness thing is just annoying.

Alright, cool.
But yes, an option would be even better!
