Want a little help!

Mon Oct 17, 2011 2:16 pm

I was thinking, what's the best compress format for AVI format videos?
EDIT: I'm also wondering about how many HD AVI video conversions a tri-core AMD computer w/6GB of memory can handle at the same time. I'm converting some Anime :3

So are you converting from AVI and you want to know what to convert to in order to achieve a smaller file size, or are you converting into AVI and want to know the best codec?

I just need the best compress format not the best codec, the edit was on a slightly different topic. I am converting flash to AVI but don't need to know about the codecs.

I dont have too much expertise but, if you are only going to be playing it back on your computer, that MKV can create much smaller filesized while keeping quality reasonably high when done right.

Then again, you are probably much better to wait and see if Pri sees this, he is the pro when it comes to this sort of stuff. :D
