I ordered all the stuff yesterday. The motherboard is coming today, the SSD is unfortunately not coming until the 20th because I went with the cheapo delivery and although Ebuyer quoted me delivery inside of 5 days it is actually gonna be 7 days. That is kinda annoying but whatever.

The rest of the stuff (Fans/Filters/Grills) are coming on Monday/Tuesday. I may actually need to push back this upgrade from the 20th to the 21st if the SSD doesn't come because I know it won't come early on the 20th it will be like 1-2pm which is too late.

I'll post pictures later today of the motherboard. Just to recap this is where things are coming from:

So in all I still have four more deliveries to come including the one today. To say I'm pissed about how much hassle this has been is an understatement. I could have got most of this stuff at Scan if they had any stock but they did not have the SSD or the Motherboard in stock.

I'm going to need to delay the server maintenance to about the 27th I think. Unfortunately. But I've taken some pictures of the Motherboard and CPU today to tide you all over

You can see this features quite a lot of pins. Further down is a picture of the CPU side that touches down inside this socket.


This is the Southbridge Heatsink, the chip underneath here drives the SATA connectors


This is a Super Ferrite Choke. Maintains stable power to the motherboard components.


Here is the Integrated Heat Spreader of the Intel 3930K CPU


And here is the Grid Array of connection pads on the bottom of the processor

SSD came today here are the pictures. This is the same SSD that Ricksterm has in his desktop the Corsair Neutron GTX 120GB, one of the fastest SSD's on the market.
