need help resolving winmx issue

It doesn't matter how I install winmx I keep getting this error.

im using the winmx ultimate installer, but no luck

im on win xp, i had a few blue screens about a month ago so i used the disc to repair system. then somethings stopped working so i thought i had to format hard drive. so i started removing programs and removing things to the backups. then it turned out i just needed sp3 to make the few programs work. when i press ok nothing happends. i click connect and the yellow bar shows but doesnt blink and it doesnt connect.
