I just read the post about 'Towny money and you' and i understand the difficulty behind this and how much of a pain it is. I am not sure if this would be equally problematic or not but just throwing an idea out there.
A completely account under the economy that is tied to the town/mayor's uuid. so it doesnt detract from the balance of the player but still goes to the town. the account could be named as the town if possible or [player]-town

I considered and dismissed this idea already. I feel if we're going to move away from the Towny balances that we might as-well simplify things and just have the money come directly from the Mayor wallets. It is after-all them who are footing the bill for 99.9% of all town/nation taxes on the server anyway.
