How it works is by when you vote you will be given a key in your inventory(probz a tripwire hook) then you will be able to use that key to unlock a crate. There are several levels of crate from common to extremely rare. Of course you can rename that.
The way it could work on this server: you could set limits, for example when you hit 10 votes in a month say you get an uncommon key. When you hit 20 you get a uncommon key and then so on...
The place where you can open the crates could either be a command /crate open or at a warp where you left click a chest or something.
The rewards could be either money pay outs or ingame items.

Voting Crates
"Voting crates allows you to let you're players vote for your server and receive a key that can later unlock a crate to collect money rewards. All rewards are on a chance based system that is fully configurable as well as are the money rewards player will receive. Players are given a chance to preview the rewards before unlocking the crate this is simply done by the player left clicking the crate and a inventory GUI will appear with all you're custom rewards that you have set up before!"
