Contest: Make a spawn building!

To commemorate our new spawns refresh we thought it would be a great idea to make a contest to design a new building which will go into our spawn area.

We did this once before in 2013 to celebrate the new spawn and we thought it’d be a great way to involve the community in our spawns construction.

This contest is being held by <3 Jrod who will be judging the entries and picking the final winner. The contest runs from November 24th (Today!) until December 8th. That gives you 13 days to design a great building.

You can enter this contest at spawn by going to /warp contest and clicking the button on the status board to receive a plot.

Rules:
Stay within Plot Boundaries
No copying other designs
Keep it family friendly
Have fun!

Prizes:
1st Place: 10,000 Rennies and build put in spawn.
2nd Place: 5,000 Rennies and a pat on the back!
3rd Place: 2,500 Rennies and a high five!

Just a few questions! Is there a specific area the building is going into in the spawn area? And even if the person does not win 1st, but the building was close or there are other close buildings, will those be in spawn or no?

We may add more than the first entry if we feel that another was so good it deserves being used. And we've not chosen specific areas for the builds to go into yet, it depends on which one wins I think so that it is placed where it will have most impact on the overall spawn layout and aesthetic.

Two questions:

1) Can we dig underground?
2) Does it absolutely have to be a building, or more of a landscape feature (ex. statue, garden, etc.)? Could it be mostly landscape stuff with a small building?

You may dig underground in your plot yes, all the plots have bedrock boundaries that are about 15-20 blocks below the surface.

I think a landscape feature will be acceptable if it fits somewhere in spawn.
