Breaking a block

Appeal Statement:
Because my friend and I just started and were looking for a no-grief server, so I wanted to check if there actually was block-protection or if you just trusted that no one would grief. And can you actually get banned for breaking another persons block, even if it isn't with the intention of griefing, or is just your friend's block?

You broke a honeypot block which automatically bans the person that breaks it. Not every block on the server is like this but take heed that if you grief it is strictly against the rules and it'll be harder to get unbanned next time. If your friend gives you permission to build-on/break their build, that isn't griefing.
