Breaking a Jade Block on a house

Appeal Statement:
My group of friends and I came across this server and joined it, quickly creating the town of Gamli (In progress.). This day, me and Blizzard decided we were going to explore the world. After traversing wide oceans, snowy mountains, and squishy-squashy swamps, we came across a desert town, completely abandoned with no one inside. (In fact there was a sign that said ((Griefed LOL)). We walks and walked, our hunger meters growing low until we spotted something we had never seen before. A jade brick! I stood back, curious about the house and wondering if it was trapped. After all, the town had been griefed, so I couldn't see why the griefers would leave that there. My friend on the other hand dashed ahead, pick axe in hand, and started mining away at the block. I yelled out in our skype chat, "NOOO!" but alas it was already too late. In his haste he had destroyed the block and been banned from the server. He's a nice guy, someone who would never break the rules, but his excitement at seeing something so rare clouded his judgement. I beg that you let our comrade back in the server, we really can't do anything without our best farmer.

P.S.: I have a personal complaint though about this scenario. Instead of banning someone right there, people should have a chance to know if they're doing something bad. Maybe like instead of auto-banning, have them D/C with a message saying, "Don't break that block. (1/3 Strikes)." That is all.

Your friend broke what is known as a honeypot. It is a trap designed to catch griefers. When you first join the server you are told "No Griefing" and in the book every user receives this is repeated quite clearly and we even elaborate on what we mean by no Griefing in the book where it states "We consider griefing when you place or remove any block in another players area without their permission".

Did your friend have permission to break that emerald block? No he did not as that was my build he broke a block of. Had he not been banned he probably would have kept that emerald block.

I have unbanned your friend, make sure he doesn't get handsy with other peoples builds again.

Thank you. And that's why he's the farmer and not the explorer like me. By the way, do you have a haunted castle on your server? I found an incredible castle made by someone named TskMstr I think. When I realized the protection on his chests had expired I couldn't believe no one else had come to it, so I quickly claimed it as an outpost. But lately when I walk around it... I feel a slight tingling sensation run down my spine. I talked to other players in the server about it but then a person named <3 Infinite_(Something) started harrassing me and telling me to shut up or he'd "rip my throat out".

That would be Infinite Pain.... Please let me know if something like that happens again, I will talk to him personally. As for it being haunted, maybe.
