SMP Subway

I'm starting a subway tunnel. for now, it will be from spawn to my island. however, i may make a gate to a facility that is about equal distance from many of the bases/towns/whatev, for which people can make rail lines to there bases/towns/whatevs. if you like this, just tell me in a reply. and if you have an idea of where to put the main station, also tell me in a reply.

Isn't that why we have Star gates...? lol and btw if you really want to dont connect it to spawn, maybe just make a dial to it

I'd like to start by saying I love the idea of having train stations and trains on our servers. That is why we have tried and failed to do it several times already. Go to creative and type /warp old then go out the north exit and there you will find on your left steps leading down to a subway which goes in different directions for around 1,000-1,500 blocks combined.

The problem is the project is so big digging out all that ground. And people always leave carts on the track and when your own cart hits one of those it causes issues where you start to go back on the track from where you came.

In short we've never been able to accomplish a proper subway system that people will actually use. This is why we use Stargates because they are easy to build and everyone can connect up their stuff. If you want to create a subway Crazy then go for it more power to you but I'll tell you now, don't get upset if people don't use it.

i judt thought it would be a funner way of travel... but yea didnt think bout stargates. also, it wiould take a (and pardon my french) shit load of damn rails and booster rails, which i would want to be obatined legitimately. idk though, its up to you guys.

I like your idea but like Pri said it's a big operation and requires time and I'm not sure if people would use it. It stil would be handy and I'd use it but yea.
