Stealing

Today i logged on to the survival server to find out that someone has stolen my present and items from my chest. After i logged on i walked over to my house and saw a chest and a sign that said "From malt". I looked inside that chest and nothing was there. i typed in chat " Who ever malt is, if there was something in this chest its not here anymore. after that Themizjr_22 teleported to me and checked to see if the chest had anything stolen from it. it sayed that Kreaturekrazy02 stole from that chest. It said he had taken 1 block of gold. he argued for a bit about it and gave it back. I then looked in the other chest and it said that Kreaturekrazy02, Moosepuff and Nanna048 had stolen from that chest. Nanna048 had taken numbers of thing and Moosepuff had taken 8 saplings.
Kreaturekrazy02 had taken 62 iron from that chest, then he argued about it for a bit and gave it back. Moosepuff and Nanna048 had logged off before i got on, so we could not talk to them about it. It would be much appreciated if a admin/mod could come on and deal with this, thank you.

On our server we allow users to steal from unprotected chests. We have made this a stipulation in our rules as it lowers the amount of work our staff have to deal with.

This means we are absolved from getting involved and you (the players) are obligated to protect your own things using the tools we have provided. Here is the relevent section from http://rules.renmx.com

No stealing*Ṫ

This includes taking Blocks, Picture Frames, Torches, Contents of Chests* & Furnaces*, Animals, Horses, Mobs, Mob Spawners, Tools, even crops. Any object that you could consider “yours” is an object you are not allowed to steal from someone else.

* Please note stealing from an unprotected chest, furnace or hopper (one you can get to without griefing)is allowed.

If he chooses to have the chests restored, you will not be banned or have the items you took from the chest removed from your personal inventory. So you don't need to worry about anything.
