You Vote: Creative Server Overhaul

So you guys have been wanting a lot of changes on Creative and I would very much like to do those. But to be honest the creative server is a bit of a mess. The plugins, configuration files etc they are oudated and causing many issues.

I'm sure you've all noticed how it takes Creative several minutes to start up. Thankfully we use an SSD so it can start up within 3 minutes, if we were using a Hard Drive it could take as much as 12 minutes to start.

So what I'm suggesting is instead of using Multiverse, instead of having multiple worlds it's scaled back to just 1 world. Superflat.

All the configs would be redone, a complete erase and restart. The current flat map would not be imported, it would be a fresh flat map. It would have a border like Survival which would be much larger but not pre-rendered.

So what do you think, keep Creative like it is or change it up with this complete redesign?

I'd like to see it reset, the world is a mess. If you fly outside the spawn then everything is broken and on fire. However, i'm assuming people would have a chance to save any builds so they can continue if they import it? If not then it isn't such a good idea, I know I have a few things on creative i'm working on and it would be a shame for it to just be deleted.

Being able to save things as schematics will work fine, you'll be able to save and then re-import them to the new creative server/world. If we decide to wipe users will have around 14 days to save everything that they want.

I go for map reset too, hoping the worldedit will work better with the fresh new start.

If overhaul won't happen, the overworld map should be reset.

Yes reset that map for sure. It's too much of a hassle and mess to even fix.

I support an overhaul, but just to be clear, would it be a poor idea to start any big project in creative now?

ive been working on updating my castle, as long as i can save that then im all for a reset

Like you guys said, it really is a mess. Everywhere. Myself, I haven't even used the Creative server as much, I prefer Survival in multiplayer . I think overhauling might do really good. Does it really take so long to start up (I haven't been on for a while ), 'cause that tells something how messy it is . I go for a fresh start.
I might come back on soon again, I've kinda lost the groove for MC now Oh god, so many smileys C:

Yeah it really takes that long to start up. The main culprit is Multiverse, we have like 11 worlds in it and that is causing significant slowdowns at start up.

I am still confused. Will the map be bigger now so builds will be spread out?
