Your Job Ideas

As we have the Jobs plugin we can create customised jobs. We can name them, specify the acitivites you perform, the maximum levels, the money you receive and so on.

So what is a job you'd like to see added and what are the activities you'd like to be a part of that job?

Here are some examples of what can be specified for a job. Blocks broken, blocks placed, items repaired, items crafted, items smelted, items brewed, items enchanted, mobs killed, players killed, other profession holding players killed, items fished from water with a rod.

So by mixing these things you can create a customised job idea. Here is the specifications for our Miner job:

Break: Stone, Coal, Redstone, Iron, Gold, Lapis, Diamond, Obsidian
Place: Rails, Iron Ore, Gold Ore
Kill: Players, Other Miners

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with, all good submissions will be added to the game and I will be increasing the amount of jobs players can hold simultaneously as the amount of jobs we offer goes up.

This probably doesn't go with the thread but can you tweak the Enchanter Job so you get money for when you enchant instead of just exp Also could you add more stuff like if you enchant Shovels, Pickaxes, Axes, and not just swords you get exp+money.

You should be getting money for enchanting. It may not have been working due to McMMO. It should probably be working now.

I notice none of the jobs support the building or destroying of blocks from the nether so maybe something to do with that?



Can we give suggestions on what to add to jobs or change the pay?

Maybe a job that gives you money for building with expensive gem blocks such as diamond, iron, coal, redstone, lapis, etc.

possibly a trading job, so the more you sell and buy the more you earn, so that shop owners who spend most of there time stocking and maintaining there shop get a bit extra?

This isn't possible as we cannot record those actions. The actions we support are listed in the top post

Maybe a combination of the enchanting and brewing jobs, and it'd be called Arcane Collector/Student/etc?

I love the combination idea ^^ Can we combine Mining and Digging jobs to one? Can call it Landacaping >:D

Is there one for cooking and crafting food? Could be Cooking.

Also whats thing we have that says :

/jobs hire or /jobs fire

or something around those grounds this mean I can hire and fire?

Pshhh landscaping would be way too OP. It would cover 50% of Minecraft right there.
