Help us test our DDoS protection!

Fri Mar 28, 2014 2:37 pm

As you guys know we've had some issues with the first DDoS system I put in place, lag spikes and disconnections. These teething problems appear to have been ironed out but before I deploy it again on our server I want to do a trial.

So if you'd like to be involved and help the server all you need to do is change the address of our server in your game client to ddos.renmx.com

Then over the next week just check in to this thread, post how it is going, is it laggy at random times of the day? Do you get disconnected more often than you used to?

If at any time you don't want to trial the DDoS protected address simply change back to play.renmx.com - I recommend keeping both in the server browser for easy switching.

Thanks for helping :)

Thank you everyone that is testing so far :)

If you all could do me a favor it'd really help out, can you ping the server and post the result?

To do that, open command prompt (cmd.exe) on Windows and type in ping ddos.renmx.com and hit enter it will ping the server four times. Please post what each of those four ping results were in ms.

Also please post where you are in the world, if you're in America or Canada it'd be helpful if you also list which state you're in. Thanks :)
