Today I have removed the ability for players to purchase ranks. This is part of a wide reform to the rank system on the server. I am not going to go in to detail about the other changes at this time but the changes will coincide with us updating to 1.7.4.

To be clear there still will be ranks just like now and you'll still be able to earn them through voting but there is going to be changes, hopefully we will all agree on them being positive.

Well while I do find parts of this to disagree with, I'd say I can be completely fine with it. As you all should know by now, I love being different and this does kind of limit the options of how to earn ranks making a finite path, but I can see where the issues lie and can go along with the update. Purchasing ranks was seeming to fill up high limited positions quickly and could get annoying in a way, though it was still pretty much earned. I can live with this without really complaining its not a bad decision at all. What would be cool in the future is seeing ways to kind of compensate this and give more options of what can be done on the server, like previous suggestions or things already existing. Easter Eggs (existing), Renegames(Idea), new ranks(Idea), and separate worlds for PvP and building(Idea) are some examples. I trust your judgment fully though Pri, you haven't failed before as far as I know of.

Separate worlds for PVP, if my K/D in Minecraft was counted I'd probably be going 0,0042..

What about players that have already bought ranks?

They will keep the ranks they purchased.

This is not a retroactive change meaning I'm not taking away peoples ranks who purchased them. This is a change going forward.

Trust me though this is for the best and the forthcoming changes to ranks are exciting and will get everyone pumped up for the new year I'm positive of that

Im happy to see it go, I personally didnt like it because it seemed for the longest time no one was earning ranks they were just hording money and buying them. Id rather see a rank earned not purchased. Just sayin
