Player Spotlight (line_of_eld)

The first spotlight of December comes from Line_of_eld! A friend of our very first Player Spotlight Dagstaff, he's also a great builder. Known for his detailed Architect application. I don't doubt why he really deserves a spotlight.
Who are you? When did you join RenMX?
line_of_eld. August of this year.
What do you enjoy the most in our server?
I like the Rickie system coupled with the admin shop/player auctions. I've been playing MC since the beginning and always had to mine the material that I needed, which is extremely time consuming. I have to admit that I wasn't sure how I felt about being able to buy the materials when I first joined, but as I've played more and utilized these features,I'm finding that I'm able to focus more on building then I've ever been able to do before.
What types of creations do you like to create?
I've always focused more on function than form. Everything I built had to serve some kind of practical purpose. With the admin shop/auctions I have more time to focus on aesthetics since I'm not spending what play time I do get mining cobble...
How do you plan before you create?
I usually go into a build with a general idea of what I want to build. From there I just wing it and do what I think looks good.
Do you have any tips for us to craft better creations?
Try and think outside the box with your builds. You can build something that has been built by 1,000 other people but make it seem new with minor variations. I know MC is a "square" game, but everything doesn't have to literally be square. Also, if you're not happy with a part of your build, immediately tear it down and rebuild it until you are happy. I know it sucks to have to do, but you'll be much more pleased with your build when you are done.
Any projects we look forward to?
I'm currently working on a large hotel/resort and have plans to expand into the real estate market when the hotel is complete. I (and possibly Dagstaff) will be building large luxury homes around the lake the hotel sits on that will be sold to players looking for a home away from home or needing a new place to call home. The higher end homes will come with everything from private xp grinders to enchanting rooms to private farms and stables, while the more affordable homes will get the same amenities in a centralized public location.
If you're going to implement a feature for RenMX, what would it be?
I feel like the players have enough features available to them. The only thing that I would implement would be either an allowance system for mods or giving them the ability to spawn the blocks they need. One problem I've seen on every server I've ever played on is mod/admin burnout. I feel like taking the need for mods to mine completely away would free up what little free time they get and allow them to focus solely on building.
What's your feedback about our community?
I think that for the most part, the community is friendly and easy to get along with. There are exceptions but you're gonna run into that anywhere you go.
