Now you all know this is a teaser for the new spawn. I thought I'd now take this opportunity to discuss one of the awesome parts of the new spawn.
Easter Eggs:
Having played computer games for over a decade there is nothing more cool to me than finding a secret area of my favorite game that the developer wanted their fans to discover through exploration. It's an awesome feeling. And so we have spent some of our time creating these for you to experience.
All over the new spawn you will find these, some hidden under water, some in the forests, some in caves and even on the tops of buildings. Our hope is that you will explore the spawn fully, looking for these easter eggs.
And you won't just see and play cool things you'll also be rewarded for it. Some Easter Eggs you simply discover while others are practically an entire game. Some involve redstone, some push you mentally while others test your parkour skills. At the end of these you will find a reward sign. Right clicking this takes you to our secure reward area where you will be dispensed reward blocks. Diamond, Gold, Iron, Lapis, Emerald and as a boobie prize, Coal.
I can't wait to see how you experience these, how you discuss and explain them to each other and play them. The system we have in place allows us to quickly make lots of easter eggs of varying difficulty and we will be adding more over time to compliment the ones we will have at launch on the 14th.

Heh, I like the easter egg idea, reminiscent of what I do with my towns, but I normally add parts of a backstory in different areas. It's good to make people explore!

Yea, easter eggs in the new spawn are the only way to get free items.
Also, there is no world reset, just a current spawn will be replaced by this one
