Okay so a situation has popped up recently with regards to the creator of Towny and Bukkit. They are having some kind of falling out and the result is that Towny is no longer going to be posted on the Bukkit website.

This causes a problem for us because there is now no one checking the Towny releases and making sure they are safe and it is yet another website to check for up to date releases.

So we are going to let you guys vote. It's pretty simple should we stay using Towny or should we switch to Factions?

I will allow this vote to run for a while so please vote. And let everyone you see know about the vote as-well. This is important.

Also I just wanted to add if we do switch to Factions your current towns won't be reverted or erased you will just need to reclaim them after Factions is installed.

I would much rather stay with Towny because Factions is the most overused plugin ever, but if Towny doesn't get updated then I guess Factions is the only choice.

Siding with Alex on this one for as long as Towny stays relatively problem-free.

I HATE factions. stay with towny

I say stay with towny until u see that there's a problem with it then make the switch. That's just my idea

In my opinion, Factions makes the server feel like it's mainly pvp, which this server is not. I'd say stick with towny.

My vote goes with whatever was going to get the most votes and by now it is obvious what that is going to be. Towny.

i dont know anything about factions and i would rather not have to learn a new system if i can avoid it
