Voltz ModPack

Sun Feb 03, 2013 10:42 am

Anyone here tried playing around with Voltz?
The Voltz mod pack consists various mods that uses the Universal Electricity API as well as some mods that are compatible with Universal Electricity. The pack consists of various tech mods that uses a standardized electricity system, brining technology and exciting possibilities into Minecraft.

Here's a couple quick vids or me messing around with it.

There's a lot of crazy explosives and things in it. I am still trying to get the missile launchers to work.

The result of firing 7 rail guns:

The power setup for my rail guns (16 coal generators and 4 solar panels):

Thia anti-matter bomb has been going for about 3 days now non-stop:

The result of placing a few dozen endothermic explosives:

The hole created after my very first missile launch (was an anti-matter missile):

We have Voxelsniper. By using an arrow, you can make big big manhole but without the cheesy explosion effect. You can also spawn thousands of..... etc.

True, however the things I was showcasing here barely scratch the surface of this mod pack. It adds much more than rockets and guns that can make holes. There's all sorts of machines and future tech.

This power armor tinker table and power tool for example:

That's a nice-looking mod. More like it fits for 0x10c game (I heard it's going to be futuristic) so if we're going to host a server with this, it will only last a season like Tekkit did.

Oh, I wouldn't even bother hosting this lol. At least, not for survival. I've seen a few play-throughs of it and it is ridiculous at how much you need. And a lot of the people on the server lately have trouble getting food let alone what you would need for this mod.

As a creative server though, it could be fun but a lot of thought would have to go into it, otherwise you get a few people playing with nukes and their goes the whole world, lol. And if you disable explosions and things then this mod is pretty much worthless imo. At least, 1 of the sub mods in it would be.

Reminds me a lot of Tekkit but obviously it has more explosion things. I have to say though I'm kinda over mods after Tekkit.

I know the feeling. Some times it starts to get overwhelming. It did have it moments though building efficient sorting facilities and power plants though. At least, that's I did in Tekkit.

The explosions I showed off were only 1 mod in the pack though, there's like 8 or so all together that server different roles.

I feel like it would be a giant grief fest with all of these things. I too have played around with it, you can make a pretty big mess lol

It's purpose wasn't to stop griefing. The whole point of my thread was to talk to people about Voltz, mostly in SP. Had nothing to do with getting it on the server, other people brought that up.
