You only told us one time to stop, which I did. I was no longer invisible nor was I in his town. I was just outside of it eating when you jailed me. You're lying about that so screw you. You didn't put any effort into seeing what we were doing. Hell, you jailed me and Ex and let Band continue to "terrorize" Billy. Funny how that works? You must be real good at modding the server if you didn't notice that. Although I think you just jailed me because of some personal grudge. I was the first to get jailed even though I was standing next to 2 other people doing the same damn thing and it took you 10mins to jail them.

Besides that, how is following someone around holding an axe DOING NOTHING TO THEM worthy of being jailed anyway? You may have seen Ex hit someone, but I never did.

It was just some silly fun that caused no harm to absolutely anyone, yet you felt it necessary to come and use your admin powers. Haven't had enough people to use your powers on recently?

Oh well, it's shit like this that made this server go downhill. Being banned from it is a good thing. I won't loose any sleep over it.

P.S. I helped build that wall because you pissed me off with your abuse of power. Granted it was inside territory owned by Band anyway..

As no doubts tensions are high in this moment so I also want to mention events that occurred yesterday. When I first saw the flying axes when I /tpa'ed to billy I was like wtf? But then I realized that it was just players, more so because of the dyn map obscured names. Now I was ok with that, I was like "no harm can be done within the town and I guess that is the purpose for invisibility potions". I estimated that as long as no serious harm was being done to the player or the structures a little trolling might ensue because it's not illegal to have fun. Now, what led me to jail someone in the first place was as soon as I saw a lava bucket being poured into a tree.

The Jail time:
I originally jailed Andronomos, Cgirl and Exhound. Why these 3 people and not Bandwith? Because when I used Log Block those were the three names that appeared. Now I must admit that I was mad at first because I considered the pouring of lava buckets grief, however I did not ban anyone since, for all I knew, this was a first offense and I still saw that it might have been in the spirit of fun. Total jail time? LESS THAN 5 MINUTES. What did I do since I knew you guys couldn't grief there? I talked to you and asked you to not grief. That was all. I didn't say stop being invisible, I didn't say stop having fun. All I asked was for there to be no grief.

After Jail:
As soon as I unjailed you guys Andronomos started pouring water buckets over trees. I found this distasteful and confronted him directly which he stopped and I was thankful. Now you would think that after tension being high they would take a break, but for some reason that baffles me they didnt'.

Continued harassment:
After this the group teleported to the player SKYLINE which was building a boat outside of the towny system, therefore pvp was available and so was the placing of blocks. This particular Case? Lava buckets. Now, while the lava was being placed and picked up immediately this was being done to bother Sky, a usually calm player that doesn't really mess with anybody and is willing to help. Even so at this point I kept my eyes open rather than jailing again or baning. What did I do? Just like any other player could, I looked for my armor, geared up and /tpa'ed to Sky so that I could try to fend you guys off as best as I could. Like a regular player can. Much can be said about Crashking that was near shipdock. I geared up and started swinging my sword. Eventually I hit someone, I think it was Exhound. (Please tell me how this was accomplished by using something else that isn't regular player's abilities.) There wasn't a single /smite command issued nor /kick, nor /mute. Why did I try to solve it as much as a regular player can? To avoid the calling out of "abuse of admin powers". The abilities that mods and admins have are there to help in a more efficient manner but are never abused.

The diamond theft:
Shortly after this, as I was keeping a close eye in the group, I teleported to one of them and noticed that I ended in the diamond reward. Then when I got out and went over I noticed that they were repeating the cycle way to fast for it to have been that they had used /spawn and went to look for the diamond reward itself. AFTER I confronted the players personally they played dumb. Now there's something that can really make someone irate and that is to know that the person s lying to you straight at your face. As a mod I considered this to be too much of a big deal to ignore so I took the steps that I deemed necessary and after an extensive investigation Pri (server owner) and Rick (server admin) took the actions that they saw proper.

Points to consider and personal opinions:
1) Lava bucketing in the wilderness, if someone was new and going through the server and saw that they would probably think it was an untidy server that didnt know how to handle grief situations because probably that was someone's house that got griefed. They wouldnt know, the house might be under the lava. Also the placing of such buckets of lava serves no purpose in building. So it's not o say that you can't place lava buckets, as always it is how you do it.

2) If a town didn't have enough resources to build or claim and it is just expanding then it would need time to grow. I very personally encourage almost any (if not every) player that wants to build their own town, to do so. Having this said, the case of CLAIMING an outpost near a town for the sole purpose of blocking that town and stopping it's growth is something I can consider griefing. Why? Because it is a hindrance to the player not to mention that is is extremely of bad tase. Can you imagine if I just went and claimed and outpost near ship Dock and claim all of Bandwith's boats just because "they are in the wilderness therefore I am free to build"? Would that be considered fair to the player just because "it was int he wilderness".

3) If you have taken the time to read all of this then as a member of this community you probably know me and the other server admins and mods, not to mention the owner. With the facts read here, I'm quite sure that people can see the actions taken were done over a considerable amount of time and no hasty actions were implemented. Nobody lost their cool nor insulted other players. Again, admins and mods are here to make the game quality better, only with player cooperation can this community truly grow to be something great.

Actually, I was still in jail when I logged in today, many hours later. I think that's uncalled for what you even admitted to be a little fun. Also, how can you log block lava when the source block is gone hmm?

The wild is supposed to be dangerous, that's the whole point. It encourages people to make or join towns and give pvpers a place to fight. Granted it's annoying to people building in the wild to be set on fire but that's the dangers of building in the wild.. When I joined, I was told the wild was fair game unless a chest was protected.

As for Bandwith's ships: They are world guarded so you can't claim them. DERP.

As for the diamond theft: Yeah, I used an exploit, but you know what? I didn't profit from it at all. I gave away all the ore I got (which wasn't much, maybe 20 ore max), lol. Also, I didn't lie to you, you never once asked me if I was exploiting it, you simply asked me to use a TP so you could see where it went and I declined. Besides, us using it in front of you made you aware of it and now it's fixed. No big deal. We knew you were there watching us, we knew you were aware of the exploit, we were hardly playing dumb. In fact, 90% of the time we all sat there in spawn not saying anything. Don't try to make it more than it was.

Logblock allows us to log any block placed even if it is no longer there. We have commands to survey a whole area without even placing a block down but we can also logblock an air block and see lava that was previously there. We also have the capability to go completely invisible (not using potions) and move through players, doors and see through blocks. We are watching you exploit the diamond reward for example without you even knowing we are there.

When finding an exploit you need to report it. When new players are making a town you shouldn't go to that town and claim all the land around it and build a wall. That is against the spirit of the game.

I'm really just disappointed in you lot, it's like you've had too much sugar.

Did merton want that outpost there? Did he want his town encased with a wall? Did he want all the chunks outside of his town claimed so he couldn't expand his town?

After reading everything here and communicating with the staff I have decided on appropriate punishments.

1. Andronomos - Permanent ban. I feel like you are a bad influence on those you come in to contact with. Both Exhound and Bandwithman were playing quite fine without incident until you came back. You have shown no remorse for exploiting, have lied to staff and publicly slandered the server in this very thread. This is not the first time you've caused problems for us, it is not the first time you have rubbed up against staff. Your time with us is at a close, I wish you well on another server.

2. Bandwithman - 1 Week ban. Although you created the outpost, exploited diamonds, set your home at the end of an easteregg reward I am only giving you a week temporary ban. You have shown over the past few months the ability to build and keep to yourself. This recent behaviour is very outside of your normal character and taking everything in to consideration I have decided not to make your banishment permanent but a week to think over what you did. I'd suggest being on your best behaviour once you get back.

3. Exhound - 48 hour Ban. You should really know better than to set your home inside a diamond reward. I think some of you based on what you're saying here seem shocked that the other individuals in your party set your homes there. You all claim you barely stole anything and point the fingers at each other but the reality is all three of you saw fit to set your homes in a place you could easily acquire diamonds at any time when the other users in your party were not online. But you have not caused problems before today and you did not setup the outpost around someone else's town so you can play again in two days from now.

It isn't really my business, band, but at a time like this I think you should just accept your punishment, stay quiet and wait it out. I tell you this because we are friends and neither of us want to see you permanently banned.
I'd go cold turkey from the week, not checking the forum or anything.
