Hello!

Hi, everybody :3 My name's Catbread! (My username on Minecraft and this forum are Biyokko, however.)

I and my friends DonNoFace and Waffle1177 just joined a few days ago on the Survival server and nabbed ourselves a not-yet-explored/exposed island (as indicated by the Dynamap), which we're now building on! I hope we get along with everyone.

Just a warning/request, though:

*Historically, all the servers we've tried to settle down on have been populated by pushy and immature admins/architects/mods who abused their powers (flight, teleport, world edit, etc.) to tamper with our projects, dump huge buildings in the middle of spaces we were using, alter our materials, physically get in our way, set us or our things on fire, teleport us without permission and without notice (sometimes over ravines so we'd die, sometimes continents away to ditch us) and otherwise "joke around" with us without asking and despite being asked not to repeatedly. Although those things were against the rules in each place, they got away with it by being senior users as well as mods or admins. It's happened several times on multiple servers, too.

As a result, we're understandably wary about people being in our space now. We don't mind chatting and if you happen to get to know us well and ask permission directly first, we might invite you over, especially to look around!, but we do not like people arriving unannounced or tampering with areas and buildings we're occupying. No means no. We really don't appreciate, and we feel threatened by, "jokes" that involve ignoring our desires and being pushy or abrasive. We tend to select secluded island areas on purpose, in order to avoid trouble with other users-- our group prefers to build and work alone, with the option to show others later, when things are completed.

That said, we don't dislike joking around-- when it's actually a joke, and it's not threatening or invasive. Chatting is fine. But sadly, seeing admins on minecraft no longer makes I or my friends feel safe or interested, it makes us nervous. I don't think that will happen on this server, but if there are any higher-level users who like to do things like anything I said above despite the rules, please don't.

I do really like the server so far, though! It's a really nice place, and having browsed around, I have faith that the mods and admins here are reliable and trustworthy. :3

So on behalf of myself and my friends, I'd like to say hello and extend the hope that we can develop a good relationship with everybody here.

I have been on this server for a very long time and I can assure you our community is one of the friendliest around. We respect all builds that have been built with dedication and care and our staff and high ranking members are always willing to help. I understand your concerns and I can assure you that there is nothing to fear from people abusing power. Sorry for giving crap impressions on you guys so far, may we possibly get along or not (I don't care, and I don't expect you guys to either). The community is mostly down to earth, and respectful of your shit.

As the owner of the server I take the abuse like you have described very seriously. Especially when it comes to the survival server.

The only time you'll ever find a member of staff teleporting to you is when they are checking if you are griefing or when you yourself have requested some assistance. They should never be teleporting to you for practical jokes, to steal from you, to modify what you've built or to do anything that would be considered abuse of their abilities. On my servers I don't let people who abuse the rules keep their positions, there have been staff on here who have been demoted for abusing their powers and the current staff all understand that if they do some of the things you have described that they will lose their standing with me and on the server.

So rest assured you've found a great place to spend the time you've budgeted for entertainment. We take your enjoyment of our servers seriously and if you ever feel you're not getting the level of professionalism you expect don't hesitate to contact the member of staff you are most comfortable with or me directly via the forums private message system

It's nice to meet all of you. And nah, the impression I've gotten of Renegades has been really good, FlowerGamble. I just wanted to introduce myself and my friends and put that information out there-- it's always way better to tell someone what your comfort zone is than wait until a problem comes up.'

And Pri, that really reassures me a lot. Seriously! We tried to explain on other servers why being bothered that way was so upsetting to us, and a lot of our issue was that the three of us are all pretty busy offline. When we could find the time to build together it always sucked to have it interrupted by bullying that way.

I want to thank you all again for making us feel welcome and lending me an ear <3 It means a bunch, and I'm really glad we found this server to play on.

Well catbread, You don't have to worry about that here. I think im not only speaking for myself but for all staff members by saying none of us will ever do anything like that, unless its reverting a grief or what-not.
