i lost about 50 villagers and horses when the server went down.
mods are refusing to help me, this is really frustrating.

This has been dealt with.

But to be clear, you didn't lose your mobs because the server went down. The server was powered on and the servers were up. Just the internet to the server was offline. So there wasn't any crash or anything like that to cause your mobs to disappear, they just despawned which happens sometimes in Minecraft. It is a very buggy game.
