This is just a test to see if I can edit a post after uploading it.
This is an edit after immediately submitting the post.
This is an edit after logging out then logging back in.
Anyone know why I cannot edit some other posts on other forums?

I can no longer edit this post.

After someone else posts after your post, you can't edit posts before their post. That doesn't go for staff.

Then I will have to find a new way to show my online menu and continuously update it.
Am I able to lock commenting?

Online menu? And I would suggest checking out the full editor when making a post

and i use the full editor but I do not see an option for locking

You are not able to lock.

Well there you go. Only mods and admins can properly edit, lock and delete a thread. As far as the regular user goes, you may post and make new threads. Hope this finally clears your doubts
