I'm in the making of a upcoming series. I already have a few episodes planned and pretty much all of the 3D done. I just have to record some in-game footage and a little cleanup.
The series is based around the renegades but thats all I am giving out for the time being. Occasionally I will post some screenshots of my progress on IRC if you are on

Re: Series Production
Good luck, I hope we'll be able to watch them soon.
I also tried to make a mix between in-game footage and 3D before, but then I found out how much I suck at animating and started doing screenshots instead.

Re: Series Production
The trick is that you need a lot of green screens, and make the angles match between 3D production and in-game so when you import both to your editing software it matches up. I don't really do "animation" in the recording-3D mix unless I really need to.
Example:
In one of the scenes Ricky Cypher breaks down a brick wall. This is a animation that cannot be simply "screenshotted" as I want to use maya's physics system.
