Macbook Air Died

Sadly tonight my macbook air (late 2011 model)'s HDD died. *funeral music*
Will go to the apple store tomorrow and buy a new macbook (mine is out of warranty)

Wow thats odd considering the life on those products should be like 4 years

Oooooh, that makes sense. For some reason on most macbooks ive ever had, the hard drives never last very long...

My MacBook Pro still has its original 320GB HD in it from Apple. I got it in Feb 2009. I since installed an SSD though and moved the Hard Disk to where the Optical Bay was and removed the Optical Drive. So now I got the SSD for OS/Apps and the HD for media.

Smart move, my macbook pro from 2007 just started degrading in performance, such a good computer

After a week I did actually replace the hard drive, I wish I called in for a bigger one
