Horror Stories / Ideas

Wed Nov 28, 2012 10:32 am

''Horror Stories''
On the next tuesday (i think) im going to have another 2 hour writing season, so i need some ideas for what i should write.

My thoughts about this:
I dont know why you get rated by your imagination and your fantasy, shouldnt we get our grades by how good you're in English?
I find this very wierd... :/

Well with horror stories the scariest thing is the readers imagination so you don't want to be too descriptive about whatever it is causing the feelings of fear in the readers or characters.

That's the only advice I got.

Keep the subject mysteriously as possible. Like, if it is a monster, the reason must be unveiled at the end of the story or else the reader already knows what would happen and gets bored. Mysterious story is exciting.

Hope you get an idea for your story.

If you are working on a horror story, I suggest keeping it to First person, if you have it in any type of third person; the point of view will jump around too much and either confuse the reader or cause him disinterest. Readers like myself enjoy when the only understanding is that from the character we are viewing from. It keeps things mysterious like what freak said.

Pretty sure they'll give you points on how well you formulate your language in the writing.
