And out goes the pump!

I woke this morning to the water cooling pump making a completely different noise and as I got near to the PC I could smell an acrid burning smell, though no visible smoke. I pulled the power and drained the loop, then removed the pump. No visible damage on the outside of the pump housing but I am guessing the PCB inside was on the verge of becoming a fire. I could run on air for now but I don't want to pull the loop apart so I guess I will wait for special tech to 'hopefully' replace it for me - however long that might take.

Dude that sucks! :( Same pump as mine too I've been using mine since 2010 without issues. This makes me angry that it has broken on you.

I pressed the bottom circle and the main assembly popped out with ease and this is what greeted me - and boy does it still smell bad!

Scorching evident between 2 contact points, I believe there is a chip of some kind on the opposite side.

Image

burning seems worse on the opposite side.

Computer has been back up and running since Monday and on Thursday my screen finally arrived!

Very hard to get a decent photo due to light levels and the flash reflects off the screen so no winning there either!

Image

Dell Ultrasharp U2713HM 27"
Resolution: 2560x1440
Panel: AH-IPS LED back lit display
Inputs: DVI-D, Displayport, VGA, HDMI and USB 3.0 input
Outputs: DC connection for optional dell sound bar, audio out, 4 x USB 3.0 ports to connect other devices (2 on bottom, 2 on left side).

Warranty: Three Year Next Business day replacement

I couldn't be any happier with this screen, there is not a single problem with it and it is awesome to have so much screen real estate!

Nice.
I hope that would last long.
I also have a Dell Monitor yet it didn't last long. After a few months of usage, it shows vertical colored lines until it almost blocks half of my screen.

My old screen is a samsung syncmaster 2333sw but it is so different to my new screen I decided it would look odd having two different screens on my desk with two completely different panel technologies (also with one being ccfl and the new one being LED). So I'll just stick with this single 27" screen, more so considering the resolution is absolutely massive!
